FAQ What is a toe ring? A ring for your toe (duh). Does it hurt? No. Most people experience about 24 hours of awareness and are then very comfortable. That's the benefit of a custom fit. Will it fall off? No, most toes have a pad, which holds the toe ring on so you can shower (and please do!), swim, exercise, run, eat potato chips, etc. What if I swell? Shrinking and swelling throughout the day are very normal, and are taken into consideration when we perform your fitting. Can I wear regular shoes? Absolutely. Most people are comfortable even in heels, boots, or tennis shoes. Can I take them off if I want to? Yes, with something like Windex or dish soap. However, most people leave them on until they are ready for new ones. Are you piercing the toe? No -- that hurts! What kind of metal is used? We use sterling silver; gold filled (lasts 2-3 years on average); and 14 kt. yellow, white and rose gold. Will it tarnish? Usually not. In some pools or Jacuzzis, however, the chlorine may tarnish silver rings. But because it is sterling, you'll simply need to polish it. Am I too old for toe rings? Our youngest client is 18 months and our oldest is 95! Do men wear toe rings? Only those with lots of testos-TOE-rone! |
